When users first enter the trooptrack site, the first page they see is the private home page, correct? Is there a way to set the default so that the first page they see is their own dashboard where they will see the announcement? I don’t fully understand the utility of the private and public home pages.

If a person just goes to http://trooptrack.com and logs in, they will be redirected to their dashboard. If they try to click on a link you sent them for something in TroopTrack, but they are not logged in, it will either take them to the login page or to your public pages.
