Do you get support for your questions?

We have reached out to support multiple times (first on November 11, 2024 - over two months ago) but rarely receive a response, and if we do, it does not move us toward a resolution of the problem… We’ve enjoyed TT, but are getting concerned about the lack of support.

Our issue is with the “Custom Domain” option to have TT host the troop website. We decided to setup our website here, and tried to setup the Custom Domain following the instructions (Support-> Custom Domain Settings), but get an error. It states we should contact Support to fix it, so we have. Again, and again, and again.

Sorry you have not felt supported by TT. I did send this over to the team just now. What is the error message you are getting so I can update them on that as well?

Thanks Aaron. I appreciate any help we can get. The message states that the DNS records are set incorrectly, and that we should contact support via email. I’m pretty confident that this is a square space issue (our domain host), but believe we have done all that we were supposed to do in the steps provided by TT.

I will get that over to them. Unfortunately I don’t use the custom domain for my Units TT accounts so I have not gone through the process to have any insight.

Appreciate it. I know this is low down on the list (it’s not a problem effecting many users, or the site itself) but its frustrating to be waiting so long - and now we have no website as we expected this to be a quick process. Not months long.

Hi @nigelmendez - the reason your custom domain isn’t working is because the DNS records on your end have not been set up correctly. More specifically, the DNS records for troop46mpls.com do not include an A record, so it doesn’t resolve to an IP address. Additionally, www.troop46mpls.com is missing entirely, resulting in an NXDOMAIN error. Both issues can be resolved by adding the appropriate A records in the DNS settings.

Here’s a screen shot of our test of your domain records:

Once your DNS is set up correctly we will be able to turn on your custom domain.

Thanks!
