URGENT: Custom Domain SSL NOT WORKING!

The SSL certificate for our custom domain is not currently working. https://bsatroop13montclair.org/

All browsers are stopping users from going to the site. I can override the browser and go to http, but I cannot get to https for the URL.

We have multiple events this weekend that rely on the communication that we route through TroopTrack so this is VERY DISRUPTIVE TO OUR UNIT!!!

@Pushkaraj Please help

Is anyone there at TroopTrack? I’ve emailed support and I have no answer.

Is this going to be another weekend where my troop cannot use TroopTrack? This is getting ridiculous.

@AaronStorey Can you contact support for us?

@jp1 -We are having the same issue. Were you able to get help?

Absolutely none. We were down for the whole weekend and its impacted a multiple events that we are running. This is beyond frustrating.

Are you temporarily as a work around while it is being looked at able to access your site using the subdomain? Gear Menu - Edit Troop Settings - Webmaster Tools - Subdomain. subdomain.trooptrack.com for my unit it is troop-441.trooptrack.com, we don’t use the custom domain feature so this is the only way we access our site, I would think that would still work for yours while this issue with the certficate is looked into.

I did see a message this morning from support to TT dev.

There are numerous ways to work around this. But none of them are effective for typical users – at least not without causing more confusion than its worth. I was able to login to the site without using https and I could instruct other users how to do the same, but I really don’t want to have to do that since its just really really bad practice.

Weather you send it out or not can you try it and report back just so I know if it works or not for any future issues like this it would be a quick easy work around to tell someone?

Yes, the link works. But in my case, I would not use it (just like I would not send people to TroopTrack.com to login) because none of the links in our newsletter would work. That is the primary way that parents follow what is going on. We are very dependent on the weekly newsletter to focus parents on what they should be interacting with.

And yes, even though support did get back to me today to say that they are looking into it, it is not yet resolved. So I am about to got to our weekly meeting and have to announce, once again, that TroopTrack is not working.

@AaronStorey I find it interesting that your custom domain is working.

@Pushkaraj I hope you saw the message from @pack463websterny that their domain is not working. I wonder why this is impacting some custom domains but not others?

@jp1, I don’t use a custom domain, I just access the site from the standard subdomain.trooptrack.com.

Great I am glad that is working to still access your troop from your subdomain.trooptrack.com address. That could be a good work around temporarily for others.

Thank you @AaronStorey . I just forwarded our top level domain to the subdomain.trooptrack.com.

Just for anyone following along – this is still not working. More than a week and our site is not working. I have emails from TT Support saying they’ll look into it. But then nothing.

All of our calendar links are failing because of this. Why is there no urgency in getting this resolved. If you’re going to offer a service, please support it.

@jp1 , I just tried and your custom domain is working. I saw some messges from the developer over the weekend that some were fixed.

@TeamPeak, please send your custom domain to support@trooptrack.com. This is individual to each domain and some are working so need to know what ones are not.

I already reported and sent screenshots when this first started happening.

@TeamPeak,

Great I saw several others added to the list after the fix was found and implemented for the first couple that were reported to dev.

@AaronStorey yes, our customer domain is working as of yesterday

I just received an email today that they said it was fixed, but it’s still pointing to the wrong domain cert.
