It would be nice if the labels for the Merit Badges could be more consistent when requirements change.
Some are labeled date forward (2014 +) , “Retired”, or (before 2011) or just with a year date (2016).
My suggestion would be to label them on the date of “expiration” for those requirements.
Example Merit Badge X (before 1/1/2015)
Replace “expired”, “old”, single year dates, and other odd labels…
The most current requirements would be just the merit badge label.
