The new feature that auto-removes items from the cart after 2 hours is great.
But, as an event organiser, we would like to know anyone who “forgot” to finalise the cart so we can approach them and ask them to RSVP again.
Would you be able to show this list on the event page, please?
Unfortunately it doesn’t work that way, either the person is listed there or the Cart Expires and removes their RSVP. It seemed to cause more issues before it automatically removed the RSVP so it was implemented this way to solve that problem. It is really now more important than ever to communicate to your users to complete their Cart Transaction because they will be removed and not have an RSVP to the event.
I agree with the OP here. It would be good for the organizer to have a failsafe, so that we can see who tried to RSVP but failed. That way, for a user that might not quite be paying enough attention, the organizer can follow up and maybe walk them through the process. I could especially see this being useful during those periods where we get an influx of new scouts and parents are still getting used to using the system.
The new feature works great in ensuring participants RSVP and pay correctly.
I believe a little visibility into any participants who were removed due to this feature would help in managing this.
I’d like to add that users being allowed to check out in the apps on their phones would be a huge bonus to this! Even if they can only check out using their scout account as payment. We have been trying to empower our scouts to RSVP for themselves after talking to their parents, but 90% of them use the app so not being able to check out in the app has caused a major hiccup in our RSVP process and therefore causes the organizers much more work.
@GinaGreco,
This has come up many times and unfortunately it is not going to be something that can happen. This is a limitation of fees charged by the App stores. When a transaction is performed from an App both Apple and Google see it as a fee transaction and would then charge TT a percentage for any of those transactions, they do not have an option for no-fee cart checkout. The process must be RSVP from the App then go to the Browser and complete the transaction. The app store rules will not even allow a popup with a link to an external process.
@AaronStorey, that’s unfortunate but certainly not a TT issue. Thanks for the response. I will pass it along to my troop.
