How to change the credit card used for automatic renewal?

I have an automatic renewal that successfully worked, but I want to change the credit card being used for next time. I can’t find where that can be edited.

Do I need to cancel and then re-create my subscription? That seems a fairly scary step!

Yes, you need to cancel the subscription and create a new one with the new card. Honestly the wording on the site is not the greatest, it does not cancel it really is the recurring charge that you are canceling.
