Public and Private events in Calendar

Our public pages should be informative and useful. But, there is also a need for privacy. Some event types don’t get entered into the Calendar because they don’t need to be open to the public. Keeping items out of the calendar is bad for pack communication and it means that TroopTrack loses the ability to be a pack’s primary means of coordination. I saw another posting from two years ago requesting that location information be omitted from public view. I see it like this, we want to show the parents of potential scouts that we are active and we don’t want to bore them with administrative events. Nor do we want to discourage prospects with fees and we do want to keep things like locations private. That’s just about safety. So, please allow us flexibility with what we choose to publish publicly in the Calendar.
