Requirement Changes for Achievements

I have updated the all above!

When will we see an update on the Girl Scout Daisy Petals? Just out of curiosity

I started working on it and will complete by next week

Thank you very much!

@KimLadzinske1, Please check @Pushkaraj has fixed the Canoeing MB all ready.

@Pushkaraj, I just checked and Canoeing 2024 is still bold like it is Eagle Required, please remove the Eagle Required.

Hi. @Pushkaraj Better! Thanks. You might want to correct the spelling of the Legacy MB but I am happy with the current corrections.

Canoing (Legacy) 100%
(Eagle (2016))

It has been updated now

Hi. Would you please add the new Scouting America Clean Waterways award? Requirement is clean waterways service project. Here is the cub scout version, but the older equivalent is very similar with tweaked project guidance: What Cub Scouts Can Do! | Boy Scouts of America

Can the latest 2025 changes be made to TroopTrack? It is giving me errors trying to import CSV from a Scoutbook export because of merit badges my scouts took over summer camp.

And can the Paul Bunyan award be updated to match current requirements:

Study the Scouts BSA Handbook and the Camping merit badge pamphlet, and demonstrate to your Scoutmaster or other qualified person the following:

  1. Explain the most likely hazards you may encounter while using woods tools listed in requirement 5 and what you should do to anticipate, help prevent, manage, and respond to these hazards.
  2. Show that you know first aid for injuries that could occur while using woods tools.
  3. Earn the Totin’ Chip.
  4. Help a Scout or patrol earn the Totin’ Chip, and demonstrate to them the value of proper woods-tools use.
  5. Be familiar with the proper and safe use, maintenance and storage of woods tools including:
  • Axe
  • Hatchet
  • Loppers
  • McLeod
  • Pulaski
  • Saw
  • Shovel
  • Pick Axe
  • PryBar
  1. Demonstrate proper use of four of the tools listed in requirement 5.
  2. With unit leader approval and supervision, using woods tools, spend at least two hours doing one of the following conservation oriented projects:
  • Clear trails or fire lanes for two hours.
  • Trim a downed tree, cut into four-foot lengths, and stack; make a brush with branches.
  • Build a natural retaining wall or irrigation way to aid in a planned conservation effort.

@ScottDevine,

While the Merit Badges should be updated I am not sure that is the reason your upload is failing. There are issues with the uploader that are being looked into.
I am curious what brought you to the conclusion that was the cause of the upload issue?

Specifically, Crime Prevention stopped the uploader because it was trying to update requirements #10 and #11. These exist in Scoutbook and the latest requirements, but do not in TroopTrack. Similarly, Emergency Preparedness is missing requirement #10 in TroopTrack – when uploaded using “Emergency Preparedness” as the MB title.

Scott

Thanks, we were under the impression the issue was a broader back end issue not specific to the imported data not matching. I guess others who reported did not get a specific indication as to what was causing the failure. This is good information thank you.

Please update the BSA Lifesaving Merit Badge requirements list.
The Scouting America website has some requirements in a different order. Some of the wording is different as well.

I just went to mark a new girl as achieving her Petals, and the requirements are still showing as they were before I submitted the request for the update. Is there a reason they weren’t updated?

Were these changes made to the Junior Aid Award?

GSUSA New Daisy Badge: Fun with Movement

GSUSA New Brownie Badge: Me Time

GSUSA New Junior Badge: Uniquely Us

GSUSA New Cadette Badge: Outside the Mirror

GSUSA New Senior Badge: Mind, Body and Me

This badge is retired. Can you mark it as such, like the other retired badges?
