Event created - but not visible on calendar?

Several of us have attempted to create an event in Jan 2024. Regardless of event type, it does say it was successfully created, but when we go back to the calendar (monthly view) - the event is not visible?

Do you have All Events selected in the menubar? It should appear greyed out like the screenshot below.
