I have a suggestion for how to associate the Merit Badges to Ranks better and get better reporting and visibility.

I really like the association of the merit badge to the rank in the drop down.

I suggest that you expand the drop down to be more detailed.

Now:
Star
Life
Eagle
Eagle Palm …

Suggested format:
Star - Eagle Required #1
Star - Eagle Required #2
Star - Eagle Required #3
Star - Eagle Required #4
Star - Elective #1
Star - Elective #2
Life - Eagle Required #5
Life - Eagle Required #6
Life - Eagle Required #7
Life - Elective #3
Life - Elective #4
Eagle - Eagle Required #8… #13
Eagle - Elective #5… #8
Eagle Palms (keep the same)

I am assuming that a lot of reporting could be minor adjustments to include the detail of the missing slots or filled in slots for Merit Badges. Specificly the BOR Worksheet - the requirements could list out each individual requirement.

I think it could be easier to write a trigger that will automatically complete the requirement for the merit badge completion when all the merit badge slots are filled.

+1 to this idea.

I spend a significant amount of time just trying to sort out which merit badges apply to which rank and whether they’re completed or not (since the ranks overview does not specify the percentage a merit badge for a rank is at).

It usually means I have to edit, go back to the ranks screen, refresh, go back to merit badges, and do it again for each distinct badge.

Please make them auto-associate like they do in TroopMaster. I have spent many hours toggling between screens trying to figure out which merit badges apply to which ranks.

This has been requested before with a large amount of community agreement.
