Newsletter only included events when select not invited events options

We use TroopTrack for our Pack and have received feedback from our parents that the email newsletters are too long. We had selected to show all events (including events not invited too) for 30 days. In attempted to change the settings, I found that if I deselect the show events not invited, no events are included in the newsletter. Additionally when I switching to 7 days instead of 30 does not have the desired effect and still shows events for the next month (but only when selecting “show events not invited to”).

Please advise how to fix.
