Reminders for sign up sheets

Is there a way to add reminders to sign up sheets? We have a troop fund raiser that last about 30 days. We sign up early for different shifts, but need a reminders function a couple days before individual shifts. (There is usually multiple families per shift). Thid would be something like Signup.com has.

Even if you could just remind people that there are still blank spots on the sign up every so often until the event ends. Or make a link available to the sign up and let leaders compose their own reminder about it.
