IA2.0 Upload for New Cub Scout Ranks Not working?

Hi!

So, when I do a report to submit into Scoutbook Plus (which used to be called IA2.0) I get a bunch of “Invalid Advancement Type” errors when I import the file.

When I look at the file, this is what I see (names and ID numbers changed to protect the innocent)

MemberID|FirstName|MiddleName|LastName|AdvancementType|AdvancementID|Version|DateCompleted|DateApproved|DateAwarded
123456789|John||Doe|“”|“”||2024-09-03|2024-09-03|2024-09-24

It looks like the advancement type and advancement ID numbers aren’t being populated.

Are there any timelines as to when these numbers will be populated? If they are populated in the Trooptrack backend, will my report automatically have them in its export? If not, how do I delete the report?

Thank you,

The team at TT is working to get these new IDs from BSA. As to your second question I am not sure and will have to defer to the TT admins for that. The report can be deleted from the back end by support if it does not get auto populated you can request it to be deleted.

Good to know! Thank you for the update.

Unfortunately this is taking much more time than was expected. Getting ahold of BSA and getting the IDs from them is proving to be difficult. BSA IT does not have a process that can be found to request these items. Dave is attempting to contact BSA IT to get the IDs so he can get them updated in TT.

Thank you fur the update.

@BrendanMeteer,

We are getting close to having this all fixed. I did confirm though that an existing open report does not pick up the changes, you will need to open a new report and it will have the updated IDs. Right now there is still an issue with Bear ranks so I have reported that to the dev team, hopefully they will be able to fix that. As far as I could tell in my Pack everything else from different levels is good. If you don’t have any Bear items perhaps open a new report and double check the quotes are gone. As for the bad report you can do one of two things, after opening a new report, that will have duplicates you can upload then close the previous bad report, or you can send a message to support@trooptrack.com to have the bad report closed or deleted, I don’t remember what their options are.

@AaronStorey,

Thanks for the update and the how-to. I was unaware that pulling a 2nd report would pull duplicates that are also present on other open reports – that’s handy.

Please keep me posted on the Bear Ranks… I’ll likely wait to upload until after we’ve sorted out all of the bugs.

Yes, the only thing that will keep an item off a report is if there is a date in the Reported to Council field.
