Love the idea! I support this idea.
Has this report been created? Our troop would like to see this - it was available in TroopMaster. Would really appreciate if it can be produced by TroopTrack as well.
Hello all!
We’ve built version 1.0 of the OA Eligibility Book for BSA Troops!
You can find it by going to Manage -> Reports -> OA Eligibility. It’s also on the All Reports page. Let us know what you think.
I just went and checked it out. It is perfect! Thank You so much.
Thanks @Spencer! I just logged a bug for the CSV download. The name column is showing what appears to be the User record identifier instead of name. It’s showing a 6 digit numerical string
Thanks much @Spencer
Fixed!
This report has saved me about 3 hours of consolidation in Excel filters and merges to get this report.
Thank you.
For Version 2.0 of the report I have a request.
I am not certain if other lodges have to fill out election eligibility forms, but our lodge does.
Our election results form has the requirement of the additional following fields:
DOB
BSA ID, Address
Phone number Home
Phone number Cell
In the next version - could these fields be added to the report please for easier copy and paste?
The link of Scout name is not a chore to right click and open in a new tab, which I see as my work around for the next election cycle if V2 isn’t done this year.
Thanks in advance.
I’m glad this report has already been so useful! Version 2.0 will be released soon, with an option to “Show More,” which shows the fields you mentioned. Thanks for that suggestion!
@Spencer Thanks for advancing TT’s usability with this report.
What does the “Reset” button do? Is this the mechanism to define the 2-year period to consider camping nights? If so, does clicking this allow me to define the reset date specifically or does it just use today’s date?
My apologies if this has been documented somewhere but I’ve not been able to find anything about this in the forums.
@MikeHulsey The “Reset” button just resets all the report’s filters to their defaults. For example, the report defaults to showing only youth; if you’ve filtered the report to show all ages instead, the reset button will make the report show only youth again.
The report just uses today’s date to calculate the 2-year period for the camping nights.
Report is useful but it is missing one thing. If a scout has had more than one long term camping trip in the past two years, he is allowed to use three days from each of the additional long term camps as short term camping.
OA Guide to Unit Elections Page 16 “UNIT ELECTIONS FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS”:
- My team attends summer camp for five days and four nights. Can that count towards the camping requirement?
A. The camping requirement for long-term camps is a minimum of five nights, so three nights of this could be counted as a short-term camp.
There is a mistake in the report: It ignores 4-night camping trips. According to the FAQ #8 three of those nights should count as short-term camping. Right now it doesn’t count them as long- or short-term nights. Thanks for letting me know about this.
However, scouts are not allowed to use long-term camps as short-term camps. The FAQ #8 that you quoted is saying that camps 4 nights long, which cannot count as long-term camps, can be counted as short-term camps (but only 3 nights can be counted).
FAQ #5 clarifies that if a scout attends multiple long-term camps they can use one of them to meet the 5-night requirement, but neither can apply to the short-term camping requirement.
For a Scout who attends summer camp and a jamboree in the same year, five nights of the time at summer camp or at the jamboree (but not both) can be used towards the camping requirement. Ten more nights of short-term camp would also be required to meet the camping requirement.

Thank you for this added feature, but I just submitted a bug on this report with calculations for long term campouts, please revise!
