RSVP -eliminate or make optional “possibly going”

We do not find the RSVP selection of “possibly going” meaningful or helpful. Often we are stuck waiting to verify final status as scouts and adults forget to go back and update event status to “going” or “not going.” I am writing to see if this can be removed or made an option for any TroopTrack user to turn on/off to meet their needs.

I think it provides slightly more information than no reply. But that’s all I can say about it.:slightly_smiling_face:

We set a cut off day for RSVP’s, the families who are listed as “Possibly going” aren’t counted in our totals. We tell the families we only count the ones who are listed as going if they don’t change their RSVP by the cut off date.

I completely agree that “Possibly Going” should be optional.

For events where headcount is not critical, it is fine to have some Maybes.

But if you have an event that requires a firm head count, Possibly Going creates a headache. We needed to order some supplies 1-2 weeks in advance, but had to contact all of our Possibly Goings to see if they were really coming or not.

It is also important for knowing if you will have enough leaders on-site.
