“How do I to communicate with the troop or pack?”, you might wonder given the ongoing TroopTrack email outage.
Here’s a workaround until TroopTrack email functionality is restored:
- Sign in to TroopTrack
- In top menu, click “Communicate”
- Click “Member Directories”
- Click “Member Spreadsheet”
- Note that “data.csv” is downloaded to your computer
- Go to Google Sheets, https://sheets.google.com/
- Click big “+” icon at top left to start a new spreadsheet
- In spreadsheet menu at top, click “File”
- Click “Import”
- Click “Upload”
- Browse or drag “data.csv” (from step 5) to add it upload it
- Click “Import”
- Hover over column D (“Patrols”)
- Click arrow the appears on hover
- Click “Sort sheet A to Z”
- Note emails are in column L
- Copy email addresses in column L to email your troop, pack, patrol, or den

Or, go to one of the old email you sent via TroopTrack and find the delivery notification email. You will see the email list in that email. Then copy and paste to use outside TroopTrack.
Thanks to @YuanPlummer for this other idea!
What Eric stated is probably the easiest way to work around this issue.
Create an email in TT like you normally would and hit send. Go to the Communicate tab/ recent messages. You will find your email in a failed state. Use the drop down on the failed delivery to “read” the failed email. From there you can copy all the participants emails that would normally get the email you attempted to deliver as well as the message you wanted to send.
Copy all that over to a known email account that your troop uses to send to your troop.
It may be annoying, but it is a valid work around.
