Our troop limits a parent’s permission to edit achievement records if they are not registered leaders. Even then, leaders are asked to NOT update their own child’s advancement/mb records. Parents have access to view the records, just not edit them. I have a parent who wanted to print achievement details (Achievements > Merit Badges > Actions > Print) but TroopTrack said “Sorry, you don’t have permission to do that”.
I had to give Advancement Privileges permission to the parent to “Edit achievement records: Edit user achievement records”, only then could they Print the MB Details.
This also gives the parent permission to edit the record.
Is there an issue with printing without that privilege, or does the printing feature require permission to Edit achievement records?
